As for Emerson, I’m pretty sure he’s going to lose out to Jeremy Piven, who (love him as I do) has been coasting as Ari Gold for years, but keeps getting nominated for things anyway.

- My friend Chris has finally caught up with the rest of the world and finished season 5. If he’s impatient, he should imagine how the rest of us feel! Luckily season 5 arrives on DVD in just two days and I can get my fix for at least a week or two. Is it too early to count down the days until February 2?

A behind the scenes clip of the gunfight sequence in “The Variable” is set up, plus commentary from the actors.

Jeremy Davies: “I’m not a fan of weapons. I’m not a fan of gunfire. I’d rather watch Evie shoot a gun or hand her my gun. I’m glad that they didn’t have me suddenly turn into action figure Faraday, although I would like to see that.”

Evangeline Lilly: “We all felt like we were playing cowboys and indians, and I was proclaiming that I was so lucky because I’m the one female who always gets to play with the boys.”

There’s also a clip that features interviews with executive producers and behind the scenes footage of a production meeting about this episode, and that can be viewed here.

Here’s a sneak peek at the goodies from the Season 5 DVD set, which comes out Tuesday. (In case you missed it, I listed the current prices at online retailers here for your shopping convenience.)

This deleted scene from LOST’s fifth season episode “Namaste” takes place when Christian Shephard, Sun and Frank Lapidus meet at the abandoned Dharma barracks.

A much less interesting deleted scene from the same episode can be watched here.
