Lost Libations 1/29
You’ll have to coordinate without me, as I won’t be there (terrible, I know), but as always Solo is typically the place to be, though I’m sure there’ll also be a little Lost talk if you were to head to Hooverville at the same 6 o’clock hour.

Rehash notes for "Jughead"
I may get around to posting proper notes & questions later, but for now here are my raw notes from my viewing and reading of the strong (but not quite as great as I was led to believe) “Jughead.” As proposed in doc jensen’s prehash… what if this “participatory universe” of Wheeler’s is in fact happening? What if the hostiles are in fact the 815...

AV Club recap: "Jughead" →
A solid recap, but I am totally perplexed/fascinated by the mention of a Doc Arst theory which proposes that little Charlie, the spawn of our romantic center Desmond/Penny may in fact become Charles Widmore. Fun as it may be to twirl your mind around that for a while, it’s just too implausible (yes, I just said implausible amidst talk of time travel) and too paradox-y to take seriously.

But since we’re geeks, of course we already are. I’m just glad to see how far this show has come. Season 5 is even better than I would’ve hoped when I first heard rumblings of it all the way back during Season 2.

Doc Jensen chimes in on "Jughead" →
Ah, there he is. Love the Arrow Theory and the connections with Carl Sagan’s Contact. That book was amazing, by the way, and worth a read for both fans and non-fans of Lost. The movie was solid, but got a little McConaugheyed on its way to greatness.

This is the Discover article mentioned by Doc Jensen in his prehash. I link to it not because it’s necessarily vital, but because it’s fascinating and will twist your brain into knots for a while, just like our favorite show.

Totally Lost Episode 1 →
Previewing tonight’s “Jughead.” I can’t say I really dig the overly produced nature of these “shows,” but the EW boys do have the power of exclusive interviews with Team Darlton and various cast members (like Jeremy Davies). Which means they’re still worth watching.

why i love thursdays.
This is exactly why Lost was better off airing on Thursdays, because Fridays are generally wasteful anyway. toolazy: because i don’t find my job fulfilling in any way (read: help me find another one. i’m proficient with random things), thursdays are lost days. i send more emails with lost comments pasted all about than i do for the whole week (read: because i have no life). the image below...

Rehash for Episode 501: "Because You Left" and...
Crikey, that was a whirlwind! The season 4 finale was fast-paced, sure, but that was because the writers were trying to cram five episodes worth of plot into three, thanks to that darned writer’s strike. This premiere (and its almost-as-intriguing followup) hit the ground at full sprint and didn’t stop, nor even slow down to grab a 6-ounce cup of plastic water to splash on its face. ...

'Lost' recap: True lies | EW.com →
I’m not sure if “The Lie” would’ve been as enjoyable had it not aired back-to-back with “Because You Left,” but I found it a nice continuation of the groundwork laid by the premiere. If nothing else, it was able to slow the pace down ever-so-slightly of a show that hit the ground at full sprint in episode 501.

A message from Dharma Special Access
Dear fellow Dharma recruits, The fifth season premiere is only hours away. Be forewarned, we are hosting the clip show that proceeds it at 8/7 central. With the show’s imminent launch, it’s been very busy here in the LOST offices. Last week we attended the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour. We did a lot of interviews there, which you’ll probably see this...

Sad that none of the New York contingent will be able to attend the viewing party at Bell House. Then again, it’s not like they’re the only ones who will be watching the episode on tape-delay. I of course will be watching somewhere near 11:30 PST, which means I might as well be in Hawaii at that point.
